Christelijke Hogeschool Ede

The digital learning and working environment of NET Foundation is used by the Academy of Theology of the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede for the instruction of about 60-70 students in the first and second year of the bachelor program of Church Work. Also instructors use it for professional activities. This venture is unique for the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede and the situation of Professional Higher Education in the Netherlands. Because our students visit the school only several times a year, most of their learning activities are carried out in the living situation of the students themselves. This means the instructors must create new ways to allow our students to achieve the high performance we expect of them. The dynamic interaction between what the technology of Net Foundation offers us and the new emphasis on the competence based learning in theology leads to new approaches to education. We welcome discussions on these approaches in the context of Net Foundation as part of the call to achieve the increasing demands of a higher quality performance of educators, the accreditation of programs, to ensure that our students receive the best education, and for meeting our responsibility to serve the Lord with the use of technology in Higher Learning.

This has led to growth beyond CESA and South Africa. GWC shares the evangelical, reformed, Anglican outlook of its founding denomination, the Church of England in Southern Africa. It identifies with the GAFCON Statement (Jerusalem, 2008) and the aims of the Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans.
